Pre-planning for my Bday Celebration

Yeah.. I noe I'm gtg older, so u muz be wondering what's there to celebrate abt being older? But well, using it as an excuse, i juz don wish to miss a good deal!

In 1 of the forum, there was a BP on hotel stay @ RWS. The hotel stay includes 4 USS tix! So far we have not being to USS or stay at RWS b4. And since it's such a good steal, so y not book & party on my BIG day! Every1 can make it except for my lit bro who be out of town for his overseas exchange program. Mum say he can join his fren to USS nxt time. Haha~ I am so looking forward to the RWS & USS trip. 1st time JE will be slping overnite, outside her comfortable home & yaolan. Her pre-training before we consider a Genting trip for her!

And i tink it's time to make passport for her. So we can bring her along for short trips to JB or even further away to Genting during the end of the year.

It's a long wkend tis wk & a long wkend nxt wk. No program yet. Gng to be boring sia! hai~

Shoud I or Shoud I NOT?

Today i have a very confusing qns in my head! Ouch! Wasting so much of my brain juice... My company is gng to participate in a run in July. I'm very keen in joining the run, but what if I tender before July! How am I going to face the colleague-organiser? She's a very nice lady, and if I'm gng to sign up for myself & hb, then I quit, how is she gng to find 2 replacements? Or worst, how to report to the big boss for the 2 vacancies? I have slowed down in my job search after i rejected a company for 'wasting my time'. Haha~ Well, i was offered a job but the position was very low & I guessed I wont stay long there, So i turned down the job offer. My turn to pick the 'employer', haha! So i'm targeting big firms, established one! And the previous 2 interviews I went, i heard that the positions r still available. It's their pity for not wanting a talent (specially adjusted the font) like me! My chances of gtg a job is lowered as my applications reduced. So chances of me staying till nxt yr is 50%.. although i'm still waiting for phone calls now. If i remained till July, i'm going to be very upset that others can run except me! I will love to run.. love to have companions for these runs. SO..So..so..

HB switching back to office hrs wef nxt monday. Gd news as it means I can go out more often after work! Plus my GYM..

Been SICK! Sick in terms of stupid sore throat causing my cough for 2wks already! Sick of searching for jobs.. waiting for interviews.. n waiting for news of the the interviews. So far attended 2 interviews, received countless calls fr agencies, & sent "hundreds" of emails.. haha.. No good new from anywhere. Look like i nid go Guan Yin Miao to pray real soon. Sian~! I wan a better job, something new for me to learn.. better company benefits, work-life balance. Hai.. Difficult meh?

My new coach bag will be delivering tis wkend. Very looking forward so i can change a new diaper bag! *Excited*!! Hopefully i like the size!

I'm back from my Macau + HK trip. Overall abt the trip: Macau was nice.. but HK was bad..

We arrived in Macau on Thu Mrng, and the weather was freezing cold. The weather was 15deg C. Caught us by surprise as my research was 17 - 27deg C. The wind was blowing very strongly as we alight fr our flight. We had to wear our thin jacket to prevent us fr catching a cold. My hb spotted a gal, believed to be a singaporean, has to changed fr her short to a long pant at the airport coz it was too cold. Gtg to our hotel is easy as there are bus shuttle services. We were too early for check-in, so we took a stroll ard the Venetian Hotel. The place was big & we got lost a few times. Managed to check in at 12nn and our suite is HUGE!!!!!!! The living room is separated by the bed & the sofa corner. There are 2 TVs.. so 1 each for us.. There is a study table with printer and internet connection. But we din bring our netbook. :( The bath room is big.. 1 shower corner, 1 bath tub, 2 basins, 1 enclosed toilet bowl, 1 super huge dressing table & 2 close-up mirrors. The wardrobe consists of a ironing board & ironer too. I love the suite.. so big that i felt pampered in every corner of the room.

Afternoon, we took cab to the ruins of St. Paul where we slowly strolled thru the rest of the churchs till the Ah Ma temple. At this temple, for the 1st time, i heard & saw smoke coming out from a real fire crackers!!!! Ar!.. so loud & bcoz it was very smoky, i couldn't really c the fire crackers burning. My hb even suggest if i wan, i juz buy 1 of the fire crackers so that the temple will light for me to watch. haha! But we din buy in the end.

Evening, we met up wif Hb's colleague from Macau for a thai dinner. Food was great and we get to try 1 of the macau "raw prawn" dish. Tasted unique with their special bland of sauces...sweet & sour. As the weather was too freaking cold after the dinner, i quickly rushed into the cheapest shop in Venetian to buy myself a pair of jean at Giodano. Haha~ I cant afford all the other branded shops at Venetian, and i badly need a jean as I'm only left wif a short skirt & a kneel length pant. I will not be able to survive with such short bottoms for my next 3 days wif a 15-20 deg C temperature.

Fri took cotajets ferry to HK. Hb got subsidies rate as the cotajets is under his company's related subsi. It was less than half price per pax. Great savings on the ferry fare. Check-in at the Metropark Mongkok Hotel & begin our Big Buddha tour at Lautau Island, follow by a bus ride to Tai-O fishing village. Wanted to shop at the Tung Chung Outlet shops but HB FORCED ME TO BRING HIM EAT SEAFOOD. So travel all the way to Sai Kung to eat. It wasn't the same place as we ate last time coz we took a bus tis round. It brought us to a much more active town in Sai Kung and luckily, we spot a few seafood restaurants. Hb ordered the most expensive seafood menu, coz he paying for it. haha~ Small crabs, small prawns, small abalone, small lobsters, nice & fresh fish + vegetable. It was freezing cold again as the tables are located outside the restaurants and strong wind blowing. Although there was a huge plastic tent to shelter the wind, but we can still feel the cold and had to sit below the fire warmer... After seafood, we reached back hotel ard 11pm. No shopping. Sad!

Nxt day, we went Wang Ta Xian temple, shopping at the ladies mkt & Hua Yuan Jie when some of the shops are still setting up for the days or not yet open. Met my HK fren, Yaxin for lunch dim sum. Then we went to Peak. Freezing cold as the peak is high up the hill. After peak, we went to Toy R Us to buy Thomas & Train toys for Weilun. Wen we went back to Hua Yuan Jie at 9pm, they are closing for the day already. So no shopping again. Hb wanted to watch movie at 10, an english movie. So no further shopping coz movie ends at 12mn.

Sun, mrng breakfast at coral de cafe, and we went to buy lao po bin which opens at 10am. Next we want to do last min shoppings but none of the shops are open! Empty handled.. I din buy anything for myself in HK!!! Arrhhh.. i hate it! And i super angry wif my hb for wasting my HK trip. I wanted shopping and i got nothing from HK!

My conclusion: no more overseas trip wif HB and my son if i wan shopping!

Macau + Hongkong in Mar 2011

I'm glad to announce that I'm gng for a holiday again! And yes, it's back to Macau & HongKong AGAIN! I'm gng back to the same country that i went less than 1yr ago. lol~ This time wif a different party ---> Hubby! Juz the 2 of us only!

He has booked 6star Venetian Hotel @ Macau! Wif the corporate discount, it was only S$100+ for 1Nite! While HK stay was $150+ per Nite. We be spending 2D1N at Macau, 3D2N at HK. Air tix booked, hotel booked. So left the itinerary... HB wan sightseeing more.. while i prefer shopping more.. & since only 2of us. It be easy to co-ordinate! Looking forward for the trip!

My little boy turns 4!

Times really flies.. my boy turns 4, girl turning 1.5yo in another mth time! Cant believe my kids are growing up so fast!

My boy is picking up more languages skills at school. Nursery class now.. so he shd be learning how to write & read in English & Chinese to prepare himself for primary 1 in another 2+ yrs time.

We bought him a 4wheeled bicycle for his birthday present. He loves it very much & is coping to cycle the 'big' bicycle. It was pretty tall for him, but a bigger bike can lasts him more years. Now that WL got a new bike, HB got a new air pump for his own bicycle, both Dad & son had lots of guy bonding session over the wkends. Left me pushing little girl in WL's smaller tricycle ard the neigbourhood. Guess HB will buy a brand new bike for himself, & i will install a child seat on his old bike, so the family of 4 can go for a longer distance cycling trip!

JE has been 'growing' also. Her side big teeth r developing.. soon she can join us in our normal meals. And because she felt that she has more teeth, she can BITE people! Poor WL was bitten by JE during 1 of the playing session:

JE also loves to climb up & down.. UP the window frames & door grills.. DOWN under the table & chairs! She's walking quite stable now & hardly crawls. She will spin ard in circles or even attempt to run or jump.. & ended up on the floor.. haha~

JE is adapting well to strangers & my family members. She's also very jealous when I'm carrying other people. At my parents' hse reunion dinner, I helped to care for my nephew & she cries in tears! haha~ I wasn't allow to bathe every night if HB is not ard. If i say i wan bathe, she stick to me like glue! If i ran into the bathroom w/o her, she will cry outside the bathroom till i come out! Terrible hor! She loves to bathe, esp if she sees Daddy bathing Kor Kor w/o her, she will try remove her clothes (which she cannot) & walk into the bathroom even when it's not her turn yet... At least now the Dad is helping me wif some chores.. haha~

CNY cookies- Honey Cornflakes

Wif a brand new oven purchased last yr, it's time i displayed my baking skills. Although i still had a 'super-glue' daughter, i'm glad tt i have my sis' helping hands ard. So i managed to bake - Honey Cornflakes Cookies. It's a very simple baking method. And given my limited time, so it's the only cookies i can try this year. Sad ar.. but it was a good try though. Presenting my honey cornflakes:

Receipe i took from online blogs:

Honey cornflakes

Ingredients
275g cornflakes
100g sliced almonds
250g butter
½ cup honey
4 tbsp sugar

Method
Melt butter, honey and sugar in saucepan till it bubbles and becomes a thick homogenous mixture, about 5 mins. Pour into cornflakes and almonds, stir well to combine. Put into small paper cups. Bake at 180C for 6-8 mins. Leave to cool and crisp. Store in airtight container.

Above receipe is quite sweet.. tt's the comment fr ple who ate my Honey Cornflakes. I suspect it's the honey. Will be trying 2nd round this wk or next wk.. lol~ Gd luck to me & whoever is gng to try this!

Creative Embroidery

I always fuss over my uneven, messy eyebrows. And worse still, i go teased my sis on her uneven eyebrow too. So 1 day, sis went to do Creative Embroidery. Effect: Lovely! I like her brows.. so neat.. so i went to search on more details on CE!

Call up a few popular salons & they r either too far, too expensive or waiting time is too long- mid yr! So amongst 1 of the forum, some1 was mentioning abt Estetica. A search in the net reveal a branch at Yishun Northpt. Great! Next i called them up & was quoted $180! Wow.. it's very cheap but it make me hestitate if it's really CE or eyebrow embroidery. As mkt price outside is above 300/400 or even 1k!! Anyway, i still make an appointment.

At the outlet, i was quoted MORE! Advertising tactic.. Cost of $180 exclude touch up $100, antiseptic liquid $20 each & GST lor. *Angry!* & they keep promoting Facial, slimming + VIP membership. All i nid is only CE!!! After being pester while waiting for the beautician, i took up a small facial package wif FOC 2 moles removal. Got 2 irritating moles on my left cheek. Was quoted $100 for ea mole removal, & i got it FOC wif 6 facial treatment. The rest of slimming + VIP, i rejected firmly.

My beautician is Angie. She was quoted in the forum and she was the only 1 doing CE in that outlet. So all the picture of previous customers shown to me, were done by her. She's very friendly & my outcome: LOVELY! Lot of gd comments fr my colleagues praising the shape was well-done. So now i have a pair of neat eyebrows.

Doesn't it look very natural? It's also call 3D creative embroidery, coz the ink is pierced into the skin in straight line.. not tattoo or shading.. It's suppose to last a few years.. therefore, consider semi-permanent.

Wishes all readers a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Brand new year marks a few changes for each of us in the family.

JE: She's gng to turn 18mths in 3mths time. Planning to put her into childcare after she turns 1.5yo. Hopefully she will survive well in there...

WL: He's graduated into NURSERY! Oh my, my boy has grown up so much. 4yo in a mth's time. Got to prepare his bday party supplies for his classmates.

HB & Myself: We are turning THIRTIES towards end of the year. Excited.. n hope we will achieve more as we grow older.. haha~

Soon it be time to welcome Chinese New Year... A day after Xmas, i already heard some stores playing CNY songs.. hanging RED clothes in their stores.. Yup, 1 mth left for my spring cleaning, CNY grocery shopping, new year clothes shopping..

Sad thing is HB may not be able to get his leave & he has to work on all days of CNY. So there may be some changes to the CNY families visiting routine this year. Details have not been discussed yet.

Hurrary... it's the last day of Twenty Ten..

We are welcoming Twenty Eleven tmr.. I am looking forward to a better year next year, hopefully! I'm sure everyone hopes next year will be better!

Time to review past year resolutions & make better & achieveable resolutions for next year.

2010 Resolutions:
1) May my kids & family be more healthier in the years ahead!
- ACHIEVED
2) Slim down to 50+ kg! -3/4
- ACHIEVED coz current weight is 60+/-. Already shaved 5-6kg liao.
3) More hardworking me @ work, home & everything i do!
- NEH, still need improvement. lol~
4) Have a better husband who loves n dores my family more than any other thing.
- NEH for 1st part: He's still flirting ard outside. 2nd part improvement achieved: he helped look after JE more now. Perhaps she's bigger, so easier to look after now.
5) Maintain a healthier body by eating more healthier food & exercising more.
- Ate a lot of cereals early part of year. Exercise is still on ave pace, once a wk. :(
6) Cook more for my family, esp. the weekends.
- Yeah, cooking whenever Hb's working on wkends. Easy simple meals.
7) Play less Facebook games. (wahaha)
- Haha~ less addicted at home bah.
8) More Salary increment or change of a better-paid & good environment job!
- Failed. Still same pay, same place. :(
9) Save more money (for rainy day) & less over-spending.
- Failed too due to part 8 above.
10) Win more lottery (lol~)
- Failed also.
11) Travel to more countries that i nvr visited before.
- Not a lot of countries but i manged to cover Hong Kong, Macau & Shenzhen. Woohhooo...

Yess.. it's coming to an END soon! Gng to say bye-bye to TWENTY-TEN & to welcome TWENTY-ELEVEN!!

Before that, i managed to do some final stuffs in these last 2 wks of 2010.

-Managed to spring clean my dirty home PARTIALLY. Yes! I'm a bit lazy, so only clear part of the hse. Tink only wen nearer to CNY, den i will speed up my cleaning. Lol~

- Gng for a big feast wif my ex-colleagues on thu. Eve of the Eve of Xmas. Hohoho~ It's japanese buffet. So hope v have lots of fun & laughter... hohoho~

- Organise a gathering next tue for my poly fren. 1 of them is gng to pop ard CNY & jan is busy for accountants like us. So I hope to c my 'distorted figure'-mummy-to-be b4 she pop! lol~

- No plan on Xmas day itself as Hb working. But i do crave for xmas log cake. *hint hint*

- Xmas part at office on eve of xmas day. Tis yr is lucky to get half day off!

- New year 2011 is gng to be a BANG as i got chalet BBQ to celebrate & welcome the year. Gonna be fun as my kids can walk, so i can party & get drunk. wahaha~

- Praying hard for a fatty bonus & gd pay rise to fulfilled my travelling wishes in 2011!

My new year resolutions will be DISCLOSE here wen i got time to type. haha.. meanwhile:

JE @ 15mths old

Time really flies~ or zoom pass w/o we realising it ourselves...

JE juz turn 15 mths old! She weights a healthy 9.1kg on her 15mths & 1 day old. She had her MMR Jab + the 3rd pneunomoccal jab together. Her 1st jab, she was already unhappy abt the pain. Then nxt came 2nd jab & she let loose & scream out loud. She cried for ard 10min.. tears flowing out like tap-water. haha.. So the next few days was terrible for both her mummy (that's me!) & her ah-ma. She couldn't slp well in the day & night. Maybe she got frightened by the jabs. Poor gal.. & poor US!

The nurse asks me 3 standard qns on JE:
1) Can she walk by herself?
Unfortunately, the nurse tried and attract JE to walk to her, the stubbon JE refused. So this answer was "NO".
2) Can she clap & wave hands?
Yes, this has no problem.
3) Can she say simple words like Mama & Papa?
I honestly told the nurse that JE is unable to call Mama & Papa yet. All she can say is Hi-Five & Hello!

Stange gal i got right? She cant pronouce single word, but can speak 2-tone words.. "hi-five" & "har-low". Wonder wen she will finally call mama? & walk firmly to me?

How Fast is Fast? How Slow is Slow?

It's all abt my gal, my notti little lazy gal! Dunno if she is lazy or she is notti. She simply refused to WALK!! She's 14mths+ now! My friend's gal can walk at 1yo! Both gals have a elder brother to motivate them to walk. But why my gal still don feel motivated at all?

Old folk has this belief: "The later one learns to walk, means he/she will have a better life when they grow up." How true is this belief? If it's true, i don't mind that my gal have a better life in future. But can it be used to coax the parents only? A sort of excuse to cool the impatient parents that it's ok for their babies to learn walking slower than their peers?

Last sunday, we went out for our dinner. Hb & I held one hand of JE each, & we walked from our house door to the lift. Can see that JE is excited abt walking! WL wanted to hold JE's hand too, but she refused to hold WL's hand. haha~ The very next day, I saw a big improvement from gal. Wen i went to pick the kids up from my inlaw hse, JE crawled towards me, suddenly stand up & walked few steps to reach me. Ahhh~! At least she dare to challenge that few steps... Mil also claimed JE walked a few steps in the mrng too. Hope that she will walk even more steps as days go by... Will hope that she can walk & maybe run abt during our chalet in Jan!

Last wk, i had breakfast at a coffeeshop nearby WL's school. I bumped into another parent of WL's classmates. I asked if her daughter, Gigi learned how to write alphabets. I was complaining how slow is my boy. I'm comparing him to a friend's daughter who can write her name, although not with neat strokes, but visibly can read the alphabets. The mum was saying that as they are still young, their bones r not yet properly developed. So if they learned to write ABC, it may affects their finger bones formation. So it is advised to wait till they start nursery next year, when teachers teach writing, that we can begin to coach them. No hurry..

Suddenly I felt so kiasu. Feel like looking for enrichment classes for WL... Am i stressing him? or Am i stressing myself? Shd i let nature take its course.. let them learn slowly...

Weddings

Every year, both hb & I have countless weddings to attend. Either his friend or mine or our relatives... To make sure that we wont 'underpaid' the angbao, I always check the market rate of the venue & adjust accordingly, depending on the relationship wif the bride or groom. Sad Case

I guessed every singaporean will have heard or read abt darren ng's murder case at the Downtown east by now. I will not elaborate on the case as detailed info can be flashed all over yahoo, channelnewasia, etc.

Firstly, i wish darren RIP.

The case was discussed as an incident of staring issue. I heard was staring at tattoos (although no media has confirm this part yet). I don understand why the hackers mean so much abt staring? Wen i'm in deep though, i stare blankly too! Wen i c some nice interesting things, like ple clothings, tattoo, i will aso take a 2nd look, or even stare at it to admire the beauty. So does it consider as my staring being rude? So i deserved to be hacked too?

The attackers really never think thru seriously b4 acting. Or maybe the attackers have been thru a rough day, they juz wan find someone to lose their anger.. but WHY use CHOPPERS! Alamak! Y muz involve blood! Don't they know that attacking people wif a weapon will increase the penalty- CANING! They tink that govt caning is painless ar? Then now they wan attack wif a weapon and the idea of killing the victim? Ya, they did kill the poor victim, but have they though abt their own lives? Will they survive for long even if the victim is dead? Come on, this is singapore! It's death penalty for murdering! It's 10 ple lives + 1 darren = 11 innocent lives juz becoz of 1 stupid staring issue. Imagine how many ple are affected by this case: Parents, siblings, close friends, relatives of these 11 YOUNG people that are gng to die (death penalty) or has already been dead.

I'm myself is a parent of 2. I don't wish my kids to pass away via such stupid way. So no matter wat, i will try my best to educate them as much as i can. To prevent them from attacking ple based on STARING, or to attack ple wif weapons! As for being a possible victim, i can only pray for their safety, pray that they don mit such unreasonable attackers in their lives.

Lastly, to all gangster or everyone, if u don like ple to stare at u, then u stare back at them la. Stare till both yr eyes pop out lor.

I don recall when the last time I actually start savings! OMG!

Yes, I have zero savings a/c. Isn't that bad? I have huge chunck of credit cards debts.. mostly are instalments. Do I keep track of my savings? - Yes, I do! But it's always show a DEFICIT in the Total box. Sometimes i wonder why am I an accountant, when I cant even manage my own finance? I got zero emergency funds! Zero travelling funds! I earn & spend all my pay check! Horrible hor~ Haha~

Sounds great, but only in the hands of those people who are confident about paying off their cards.
Because of the consumer-oriented nature of businesses nowadays, people are enticed and conditioned to buy, buy, buy, even at a young age. So instead of learning how to save for those things we want, we choose instead to just swipe that card. Whatever happened to setting aside the money until we have enough to make the purchases we'd like to make?

2. Save for the future. If there's anything that you can do for your financial health -- which you should keep doing regardless of how boring or challenging it can become -- it would be to save and invest for the long term. There are a lot of goals to save for and by getting into the habit of saving, you'll eventually find your money growing on its own accord.

Build your emergency fund and have a backup plan to keep you from getting an overdraft or from accumulating credit card debt that could arise from coping with a calamity or an unexpected event. Grow your other savings fund into an investment portfolio that you keep in mutual fund companies or well regarded investment brokers (some, like ETrade, have both a banking and investment arm you can peruse).
Long-term goals include saving for your retirement. If you have kids, you should save for their college education as well. Don't get tired of saving! It could be your financial salvation!

3. Live within your means. True, it can be a downright test of your will each time you walk by your favorite gadgets, clothes or insert-your-shopping-addiction-here store. In your mind, you may be thinking about how easy it would be to make a purchase by simply using the plastic. So you start to reach for your card. But wait! You just finished paying off your credit card debt! Must you kill yourself financially once again?
Living within our means is a habit that many of us have lost. However, we have to accept the fact that we have to practice a bit more will power and live within our budget. If it's not in the budget this month, make it part of the budget next month. If need be, sacrifice a bit of your food allowance, or cut the budget allotment in other areas in order to afford the one thing you want. Maybe you don't really watch cable TV. Maybe it's time to have it cut off? How about switching to a lower plan? How about cutting down on going to the theater? There may be more affordable alternatives such as Blockbuster or Netflix services that you may want to use instead.

Time for me to ditch my credit cards aside.. & maybe reduce instalment temptations. Time for me to stop visiting blogshops & BP threads.

1) Rainy funds that's equivalent to 3mths of my salary! +
2) 1week of Japan holidays +
3) Shopping trips to BKK or Taipei

Family Car

Yeah! My family finally owns a car! Or rather.. my maternal family owns a car now! It's a 2nd hand car, & it cant fit the whole family of 8adults + 3 kids. And so far, i havent took a car ride in it. Anyway, the car wasnt purchase for me to use at all. More for my 2 brothers to fight for the usage. Wahaha~

One of the day will borrow & use it for my practise. 9 yrs of license.. nvr drove at expressway b4. Nvr drive beyond yck & sbwg area. Wat a lousy driver am I! haha~

To welcome my 1st nephew, i have decided to try making another diaper cake. Hopefully with better 'ingredients'. So i ordered online for a customised Tee & Towel for him. Really hope both the parents & the baby like it! Although i wonder the baby will noe abt it till he's 10yo?? By then he cant fit into the tee nor the towel is ard for him to use. lol~

Shape Run 2010 Results are finally OUT!

I didn't really check the shape website daily but i knew 1 week after the run, the results were still not published online. They pretty slow and badly coordinated. As usual, the race pack collection after the event was terrible. Nobody bother to queue up neatly as the organiser never has sufficient staffs to guide the queue. So everyone squeeze to get the bag after the sweaty n tiring run. Other than that, the event was fairly well-organised. The race track was properly labelled with distance covered. Sufficient water supply.

And now.. to my performance for that day:

I remembered my 2yrs ago record was also ard this timing. Unable to confirm as i have no exact timing record on hand. My buddy & friend just ran right behind me only, with 1-2min difference. So they did a good run! My sis did well too, she completed the race in less dan 50min!

After the race, i actually aches for 3days. Quite surprised as i nvr ached at all for my last round of 5km run. Wonder is it becoz i havent exercise for MONTHS! lol~

My fren, LeeLian, has a baby shower end of last mth. Out of the sudden, i felt like trying to make a diaper cake for her son. Went to search blogs, youtube & I managed to do a simple diaper cake for her son! As it was quite rush, i din really buy a lot of decor for the cake.

Jay Chou Concert- 23 July 2010

My 2nd time attending a singing artist concert. I rmbred my 1st time was dedicated to Aqua (who sang barbie girl "i'm a barbie girl, in a plastic world.."). This time was the 1st time i actually paid to attend such a concert, and it costs me ard $140 (although my hb is the 1 who offers to treat me in the end). I rmbr asking hb if he interested to watch those concerts, after they keep advertising on TVs, singers like S.H.E., May Day, etc.. so hb say he prefer Jay Chou. So wen news of Jay chou concert tix is available for sale, i asked him again. He say ok, we picked the middle pricing coz the top few will be so EXPENSIVE. BUT who knew that so many crazy Jay's fans ard who HOG the sistic booking system on the day & time it available for sale. Alamak.. i got so much problem buying the tix online. Luckily i knew a friend who was working in the organiser company, and she managed to secure 3tix for me for Jay's concert. Although no discount, but i was issued good seats & guaranteed tix for my choice. So happily, we join the rest of the Jay's crazied fans to attend 1 of his 3 days concerts in Sgp.

23July 2010, hb & i took the day off, coz WL's sch happen to close for the day too. So looked after the 2kids in the day time, before sending off JE to my MIL's hse, WL to my parents' hse. We arrived at the stadium mrt early as we din noe how close is the indoor stadium to the mrt. But it was really very CLOSE. Step out of the mrt, u spot indoor stadium across the road. The mrt was crowded.. but the entrance to the indoor stadium was even more crowded. Jay's merchansides were sold everywhere & the queues were so long. So i din even bother to queue or browse for any. The tix stated no camera, no food & drinks. But ple still bring in camera! Food & drinks were sold at the entrance, which can be brought into the stadium!

Jay's concert starts at 8.30pm. The show was awesome! Lot of laser effect, computerised effect, nice dancing, nice guests singers, lovely clothings... and JAY look so cool~! I like it when he say singapore women are pretty.. & i crazily screamed back at him! lol~ And the amazing part is, my hb almost fall asleep at the beginning of the concert! Idiot hb! Everyone so excited at Jay, & yet he can doze off.. Anyway, i screamed a lot, my ears almost went deaf wif the screaming & surround sound. It was marvelous... i hope to be able to attend his future concert again, if any.

Jay is a great performer, singer, artist.. and how i wish my weilun can grow up to be like him. Den i can get to attend every concert of Weilun when he holds his worldwide concert tour. "Okay! Time for me to WAKE up! haha~" I shd save more money & send him off to attend his music, speech & drama classes.

Up & Down of JE

JE is reaching 10mths soon, which means in 2 mths time, she's hitting 1 yr old.
I always felt tt wen baby pass the 9th mth, when they can understand us, when they crawl n learn to walk, it will b easier for us, the parents. But this doesn't seem to b applicable to JE. Her teeth is growing at a very slow speed. She still have 1 teeth n the gum is still covering another teeth of her since 2 mths ago. Babies at 6mths old already got 2teeth while JE @ 9mths only got 1teeth. The teething is causing her a lot of discomfort. There's nothing I can do except to apply teething gel tt hopefully reduce her discomfort.
Next, she seems to catch common flu n cough quite easily as compared to WL. So tis explains my sleepless nites for every mth since she was 2 mth old. :(
Even though JE is big enuff, she still dislike anybody who is not her mum or ah-ma. She's picky & stubborn like a cow! Even if v use food or toys to coax her, she still reject being carry by others. Tt make me very tired n difficult wen looking after her.
The only 1 thing that I will praise her is she's gng to b a early walker. She pushs herself to stand, to walk n also she tries standing wifout support for few sec. Bravo. Hopefully she can walk b4 her 1st yr birthday, den she beat her bro in the walking catergory. Jia You!

We are Back from HONG KONG!!!

Cheers! We safely back from HK. Haha~ V survived the acid throwing, the HFMD.. & most imptly, i survived the "Elephant Brand-superglue" WeiLun! Yeah.. he super sticky to me. Wan me carry him when he off the pram, wan me push his pram & nobody else. A super, extreme MUMMY BOY!!

It's our 1st time visiting HK... & my dad's 1st time too. My dad @ age 64, my age @ 28 & my son @ 3. So fortunate hor? My son's dad havent even been to HK before. He been nagging at me that i got my holidays, while he got nothing. Who call him don wan to bring me to HK?

We conquered a lot of sightseeings ard HK, took a day trip to shenzhen & macau. But we din conquered the shopping of HK! And i din eat enuff of HK food. Coz my son has been sharing meals wif me. So i have to order food tt he like to eat. So disappointing rite! Even after share wif him, i felt so full tt i din even snack much. Hai~

Disneyland was ok. My 2nd visit to disneyland. There arent much exciting rides for adults only. More kiddies rides & performance shows. My cousin, MH was so busy tracking the shows time.. that make us rush fr one part to another part of the disneyland to catch the shows on time. There was a Lion King show dressed up by human in animal costumes. WL was so afraid that he rather close his eyes to slp! Wen we queued the 3rd time for the Mickey Mouse show, the earlier 2 queues were full before we can enter the threatre. We waited for quite long till WL fell asleep. And worst still, it's his afternn nap. No matter how i woke him up, he refused to open his eyes. Wen the show ends 30min later, he finally woke up.. to c ple departing from the threatre. It's such a nice show that i'm sure WL will like it. It's really a pity that he missed it lor. His fav mickey mouse & characters came alive before him.. and yet he rather dream of them in his tv set! I guessed the nxt time i bring him to disneyland again, will b 2 yrs later bah. When JE is big enuff... den consider bring both to disneyland again.

WL is happy to took 2 aeroplane rides, boat rides (macau), cable car rides (he's terrified wen the cable car is in the air) & lots of train rides!

Next overseas trip.. guess genting bah. It's cheaper, shorter period.. n hopefully his sis, JE can join in.

Sick Sick Sick Sick

Hai.. May/Jun is the period of sickness, sickness, sickness!

Today juz sent WL back to sch. His school teacher called & ask his whereabout. I happen to fall terribly ill ytd, so since i need to queue & c doctor. Y not i bring WL to let doc certify he's free from HFMD. Yup, he's clear totally, tt y he's now in school. I got a shock at the school notice board. 14cases of HFMD!!! Spreading from WL's playgroup to K1 to Nursery now. A few cases recorded only this week. School had engaged external cleaning services to SPRING CLEAN the whole school ytd. Hopefully no more insect bugs, no more HFMD bugs...

Last Last sat, i was suppose to go for my passion run in the evening. But JE couldn't slp well tt sat mrng. So after she felt deep asleep, my tummy had a bad cramp.. so bad tt i vomit water n medicine. It hurts so much until i couldnt close my eyes to slp since 4/5am. I endure until 8.30, den head to the nearest clinic. Doc diagnosed me as stomach flu. He say if my hurting doesnt stop by noon, i have to check myself into A&E at any hospital for more detailed scan. Lucky it heal slightly after taking the medicine. I was so weak tt i felt asleep for the whole day. I couldn't have the energy to get out of bed. I forced hb to sent JE to my inlaw, so i can rest well. Becoz i was totally too weak, i skipped my 10km passion run. Arh.. very sad.. my 1st 10km for this yr is gone.. my medal & cert r gone... my goodie bag is also gone.. :( Got to wait for the shape run 5km in jul.

Next, last wk, JE had difficulties in slping at nite. When she can slp better, her body start popping out small red dots. It was diagnose last sat as chix pox. Arh.. poor gal caught chix pox at such a small age. The pox r drying up & it doesnt seem to be itchy to her. Strange.. Make me wonder if they r really chix pox or fake. Anyway, even if it is mild, i hope she be immune to chix pox in future.

After my stomach flu last last wk, i down wif fever, sore throat, cough & flu ytd. Now only hope i recover fast & don spread to my kids. I wan fully enjoy my holidays nxt wk.

HFMD

3 of his classmates were down with HFMD, including WL's best buddy: Chan Kai Xian. Monday morning, at the routine checkup b4 allowing into class, Teacher YingJie spotted a few mouth uclers on WL. Another teacher help to verify & WL was barred from school. I took him to visit the doctor & certify he's down wif HFMD. Doc say HFMD can begin with mild mouth uclers. So WL got 1 wk of MC! Lucky i got 2 sets of parents ard, so i sent WL to my parents' shop/hse, while JE remains at my inlaw hse. Separate the 2 kids so they wont spread amongst themselves. Hai~ Hope WL recovers fast enuff, as he's gng to HK in another 2wks+.

Mon morning, he was telling Teacher YingJie he flying to HK to see Mickey Mouse! His classmates, Rachel is gng Taiwan while Lucas is gng on a wkend holidays. Arh.. these kids are so fortunate to get to travel at such a young age.

Let's hope all the sick classmates recover well enough to go back to class & play with each other again!

Happenings Update in May

Mother Day
WL make a cardboard mother's day card for me & a cake muffin for me. When i reached home, he gave me a tight hug & said happy mother day! I so love him!!! Then he told me abt the card & the cake. However, the next day, i woke up slightly later than him. And i caught him eating the mother cake he made for me! Wen i ask if the cake was meant for me, he cheekily say he make another 1 'tomorrow'. Well.. the tomorrow never come. Sadly, i din get to taste the mother day cake. :(
Anyway, the best gift i had is the tight hug i received from him- made me tears on the spot. He's so sweet!

Passion Run 22/5/10
I woke up that morning with a very bad tummy ache that hurts for hours till i stepped into a clinic. After the medicine, i slept like a pig for the whole day. Body was too weak to even walk, so couldnt join the run. So i miss my medal, my goodie bag, my cert, my photo! Sad! Sad!

Cold Storage Kids Run 23/5/10
Although i din't fully recover by sunday, i try not to miss the event as my 2kids have signed up. JE start her race 1st. It was very sunny & poor girl was crying at the race track. So i have to entertain her, carry her, coax her to complete the race. WL did a better job this round. He able to run the distance with his dad accompanying him. He's proud to get a medal! So we have 2 little "marathon" runners in the future... :)

McD Big Breakfast

Wednesday is my Off-day & I sent WL to sch as usual in the mrng. Then i brought JE to McDonald for my breakfast. Mil wanted some time off to pray in the mrng. I was greeted wif SHOCK & good service at the Mcd at Sun Plaza.

Good Service: A staff holds the door for me when i enter Mcd with my baby stroller. I get to sit after i order my food, as a staff deliver the food to my table. Excellent service!

SHOCK: Thanks to my Gal! She took my straw to play with. So i went to take another straw for my drink. When i came back to my table, my food r GONE! My plate is empty! Why? Coz my gal grab my food plate & topple onto the floor. Aarrrhh! I only took 1 small bite.. my bread, scrumbled eggs & sausage are on the floor. I was angry wif her & myself. Y i'm so careless & place my food within her reach! I try & hint to the Mcd staffs to clear my mess.. & they r nice enuff to offer me another plate of Big breakfast. If not, i would have wasted $4.. & have only a hash brown for breakfast liao. After my new plate of breakfast was served, i sat opp JE, far away from her reach. She muz be thinking tt since she got no teeth & cant eat tt big breakfast, mummy should not eat too! She was staring hard at me when i ate my hash brown. lol~

Wen i done wif my meal, i purposely stood up & pretend to leave w/o JE. Den her face turns & wan to cry.. lol~ She so cute at tt moment!

She can SIT by herself now! So which means when we eat out, all she need is a baby chair & i can enjoy my meals in peace. Lol~

Celebrated my bro's ZJ 21st bday at NSRCC in early April. Took some photos of my kids at play.. Everything went on well for my bro.. n he was sabotaged by his frenz. Dumped into the pool, which it happen to my elder bro-ZP many yrs ago. So i concluded tt if u r a guy, n have a chalet wif swimming pool nearby, u bound to end up in the pool after the party is reaching an end. lol~ Coz nothing happen to me & my sis XR, when all 4 of us had the same chalet at the same area!

Wen we reach the chalet to check in, my dear son exclaimed happily tt we r gng to ZJ's new house.. ya.. new bungalow house! He's gng to "own" that bungalow for 2 days before he "sell" it off again & live back in HDB flats. lol~

New Job Scope

More than 6mths ago, i was away on a 8wks maternity leave. My work duties were properly distributed to my colleagues b4 i left...

Now, a colleague of mine has gone for her maternity leave.. UNPLANNED! Her EDD was supposed to be end apr/ early may. So she was suppose to do Quarter 1 consol, before she starts her leave. But on Mar 31, her water bag sudden burst during our lunch break.. n her baby was born via emergency C-section. Anyway, congras on the birth of her baby boy! Weighing 2.2kg..

Because of the sudden delivery, she havent even review my feb consol.. n i was left to struggle for mar consol by myself.. As mar is a Q1 consol, there will be Q1 announcement to be made in may, so the consol has to be more careful, more complete.. & more than juz the basic consol is needed. Arrhh.. i hate it. Coz out of the blue, i'm being tested for all my accounting skills which i havent touch for ages... Cashflow.. consol.. elimination.. Hai~~

Although 1 good thing is, i got someting nice to add to my resume if i leaving this co! My consol hands-on experience!

I look so fat now! My waist length went up 3". Ytd during lunch conversation, we were asking a skinny colleague what's her pant waist size. She said 27". I told my fren i had tt size before. They all immediately L-O-L! Yup.. that was in the past! Now i tink i measured ard 30". Does this consider the sacrifice I made for my 2 kids?

When can i ever find back my slim waist? Yup, my weight is gng down slowly.. but toooo slowww.. 6kg to go!

Took some nice pics of JE's latest development. Was about to upload to my facebook when the network was super slow. Since my pc is on, i try connect via my pc to upload the pics into my pc... Who knows.. the itune auto upgrade the version.. then try sync with my iphone.. n cause it to HANG! OMG!!! Hang!?!?!

I cant switch off my iphone, unplug fr pc, cant get back to normal mode. Search online, ask my bro for help, manage to restart the phone, only to get back to the HANG mode again. Damn! I search online for help.. nothing.. i guess it muz be the stupid PC wins 7 causing the problem. I try install itunes previously n got problems connecting my phone to itunes. So i try install itunes on my netbook wif win XP, n it manage to link up my phone & restore to factory settings!!!! Which means- my pic, data, contact, music, apps are all GONE! WTH rite! I din wan to restore.. i din ask to restore.. coz i havent even back up my data.. n it hang my phone n force it to restore. I only wan to upload pic & download music to my iphone. So upset lor.

Lucky my contact in my sim cards r still present. Have to re-add the apps.. pics gone! got to take new pics.. Hai.. N my $0.99 apps download is gone when i havent even complete the game..

Lot of different catergory for different age group from 6 mths old to 12 yo. Well, i din type wrongly.. u din read wrongly.. i did wrote 6mths old. They have this new catergory: Gain Stroller Chase (Boys/Girls) meant for babies from 6 to 24mths old. Which means my baby gal, Jia'En can join! Pushing JE in the pram n DASH.. Unique run ar? haha~ WL will belong to another catergory.. non-competitive. Competitive belongs to the bigger aged kids above 7 y.o. 4 more years to go for WL!

This event is 1 day after my passion 10km run.. Hmm.. Wonder will i ached enuff to run tt 800m with them?

Now waiting for hb to give the signal for me to sign up for them. =)

There is this Baby 2010 competition going on at 31 CCs in Singapore. Over at Sembawang & Yishun, the CCs are organising. Althought I have missed the one at Sbwg, I don mind bringing my kids to Yishun... BUT after reading the T&C, I felt so disappointed again. They say baby must be between 6mths - 24mths as at 1st Mar 2010. Hai~ My gal only reach 6mth tomorrow. So she doesnt fall into the catergory. So sad rite... I also heard of another baby contest, also must be 6mth as at 1st mar. Not organised by CC, but some baby fair. Always miss the requirement by a bit only. Hai~

Nvm.. she grow up and join Miss Singapore Universal. Baby contest, no big deal!

Finally! After 1.5yrs, i'm finally going on a far-away holiday.. at least further than Malaysia. Fix, book & confirm! HONG KONG, here i come...

I rmbr the last time my family went HK, i was busy preparing my wedding. So i miss that opportunity. Have been bugging hb for yrs to bring me to HK. He always complain he dunno how to communicate in cantonese. So he feared to visit HK. I have waited n waited until yes, finally, my family gng to HK again! Wooohhooo~

This round i'm gng in jun, with my parents, sis, bro, aunt, cousins & bringing my dearest son, WeiLun! It will be his first ride on the aeroplane. Hopes he like the ride! Hb couldnt make it for the trip as his leave is freeze for his company official opening in Jun. I feel bad abt ditching him n go HK w/o him. But then, it's also his fault for nvr bringing me to HK all these years. If i wait for him some more, i doubt i will nvr get any more chance in the near future. So better not miss tis opportunity again. So.. bye, Hubby!!!

Today is the 12th day of Lunar New Year of Tiger! Havent have the time to update... So here's a brief summary:

Eve of CNY: Lunch @ my mum's hse: Steamboat + Hot plate. Dinner @ my Mil's hse: Steamboat (AgAiN!!!) Anyway, i was glad tt my bb gal behaves quite well at my mum's hse during lunch. So i could enjoy my lunch.

Day 1 - 3 CNY: Hse visiting @ relatives' hses. Nothing special.

Gamble: I only manage to gamble once & i lost more dan $20 in tt game session. I still have not gain back my better luck yet.

Lo Hei: Surprisingly, i had 4 to-date already. 1st @ hb's grandparent's hse. 2nd @ Crystal Jade wif my poly frenz. 3rd @ Kor's hse wif my family. 4th @ SW's hb's stall wif my colleagues. I'm still counting... 5th one coming tis fri @ my company D&D!!! The most "lo hei" i ever had in 1 year! Every time i ask for HUAT ar! Yet nvr win any toto yet..

D&D 2010: Tis fri is our company D&D @ the Pines. It also the day of the AngBao $10M toto draw date. I was jokingly telling my colleagues, whom we shared a $20 toto purchased fr 1 of the lucky venue (Chong pang 7eleven). At 9.30pm, we should stay tuned to the toto results & match our Toto tix, instead of matching our D&D lucky draw numbers. Once we win, we straight away order Buddha jump over the wall, & eat in front of our bosses. Haha~~~ (Still day-dreaming now...)

Yeah~!! Had 2 busy & great days: Sunday & Monday!

Sunday: Advance Birthday Celebration for my dear boi- WeiLun!
He's turning 3hree! Times really flies...

Since his actual day is on Feb 8, monday. We held an advance celebration for him. We had lunch wif my family.. 外公，外婆，大舅，大舅母，阿姨和小舅! Lunch was at Mayzin at Northpoint. Simple chinese meals yet taste great! I was glad that Jia'En was very coorperative during lunch. She finally accepts being carried by my family members. WL rec'd lots of angbaos.. n toys: a doreamon bag + Thomas & Friends Train set!

Dinner was spent wif hb's family. Tabao 煮炒 & ate at my MIL's hse. We also bought along a Doreamon cake & sang birthday songs (WL insisted on 2 version: English + Chinese!) wif WL! Photos r at my facebook. Haha~ Will try upload to the blog if i got the time @ home.

Actual day: 8 Feb, Monday.
We have prepared sweeties & choco for WL's classmates. We passed the goodies to the teacher who will help distribute to the classmates after their tea-snack in the afternoon. When i went to pick WL from school, all his classmates r excited to receive the goodies. WL is also kind enuff to share the goodies wif us at MIL's hse. He has 8 diff type of sweeties in a pack.. so distribute 1 ea for us. Lol~ But at the end of the day, he finish all by himself.. haha~

For myself, i had a great day on 8Feb too! Initially wanted to go to WL's sch to distribute the goodies, but worried he will wan to tag me home after distributing. So i asked teacher to distribute on WL's behalf. So i got a full day off for myself. Juz nice to pamper myself in preparation of CNY!

12.30pm. Went for scrub & full body massage.
2.30pm. Went for waxing & signed up IPL-underarm wif Strip! Pay $171.20 per session for 9 session. Cheap? Looking forward to my less-hairy & whiter underarm.. wahahaha~
3.30pm. Facial.
5pm. Shopping. Bought roche chocolate for hb (valentine's gift- again!). Bought a hypnosis dress for CNY (consider done wif shopping for my CNY clothes).
6.30pm. Picked up my bday boi fr sch.

Relaxing day ar? But now.. back to reality! @ work now... haha~

Treasure Pot

Recently I have been seeing articles & advertisement abt this Treasure Pot, aka Poon Choy. So a search in the internet shows tt this dish is sold ard $200 for 5pax. Though of buying it to add to our reunion lunch & dinner. But i heard my bonus wasnt wat i expected. So mayb cant afford to anyhow spend. :(

Nvm.. some luck is wif me today. I found a receipe to this Treasure Pot. So I will share wif u all. Good things r worth sharing. And remember to invite me to test-taste when u cooked this dish! Hahaha~

Treasure Pot (Serves 6)

INGREDIENTS
1 piece sliced abalone

6 pieces sea cucumber (15g)

6 pieces dried oyster

6 pieces conpoy

6 pieces fish maw (15g)

8 pieces carp fish ball (20g)

300g roast pork

1/4 roast duck

8 pieces dried mushrooms

1 piece tofu

300g white radish

10g black moss

300g Chinese cabbage

500ml chicken stock

METHOD

Rinse dried oysters, conpoy and mushrooms. Add water and steam for about 20 minutes with 2 slices of ginger. Set aside.
Cut the Chinese cabbage and radish into 4cm x 3cm slices. Blanch and set aside.
Cut tofu into 4cm x 3cm slices, deep fry till golden brown and set aside.
Rinse the black moss and set aside.
Simmer the sliced abalone, sea cucumber and fish maw in oyster sauce and chicken stock for about 5 minutes.
Assemble the Chinese cabbage, white radish, tofu on the bottom of the casserole pot. Neatly arrange the rest of the ingredients on top of the vegetables.
In the hot wok, add some oil and deglaze with Chinese wine. Pour in the stock from the dried oysters, conpoy and mushrooms. Add chicken stock, season it with oyster sauce, sugar, white pepper powder and dark soya sauce. Thicken it with cornstarch solution.
Pour the sauce into the casserole pot of ingredients. Steam the pot for about 20 minutes.
Serve immediately on a portable gas stove to keep it simmering.

You can change the ingredients, like some restaurants offer Lotus roots, prawns, dried scallops, etc.

Hmm.. If my JE is not sticky to me, and my hb is able to look after her & WL alone, mayb i will try cook the dish this CNY reunion. Too bad.. have to try nxt yr bah.

Cont'd fr my last post..

Tt Thu nite JE burst into tears again after reaching home. As she couldn't slp well, she cried out loud. Hb try carry her out of the hse, to a nearby fitness area for a walk. At first she calmed down, den suddenly, she cried out loud again. Me staying at the 12th floor, can still hear her cries 1-2blocks away. Hb brought her to his mum's hse. On the way, he passed by the mrt stn, and everyone stare at my hb. He looked like he is 'kidnapping' a crying baby! So embarrasing... JE managed to calm down after MIL sayang her, fed her milk, n she fell asleep in the yao-lan.

Fri was her 2nd 6-in-1 jab. I request to c doctor at the polyclinic to enquire on JE's non-stop crying at nite. He say she is totally fine. N her cries is caused by her own attitude. If she is unwell or sick, she wont b able to stop crying n she will continue to cry the min she awake. So my JE doesnt fall into tt catergory.

Fri to sun morning, JE was in the care of my MIL. I got to spring clean my hse & attend a wedding banquet. JE was okie except a bit cranky due to the jabs.

Sunday, we went to buy a 2nd hand yao lan n went to my parents' place. JE has slightly improved as she no longer cry the min she stepped into my parents' hse. She began her terror cry when she fell sleepy. My dad quickly assemble the yao lan and after putting her in, she slept very well & stop crying. Miracle! Tt nite, i quickly assemble the yao lan back at home. She was slightly cranky & cries a bit.. but soon she able to quiet down n sleep well. Shift her back to her bb cot when she's in deep slp.

So far so good for these few nites. She still cries, but no longer for 2-3hrs.. after putting her in yao lan, she can slp better. I hope tt it will continue to work till she's more grown up. Keeping my fingers crossed!!! If not, i have to "安神" in my hse.

Jia En! Jia En! Stop Driving Me Crazy!!!

Hey! I don really noe wat's up this year! So many bad things r happening 1 after another!

2days after WL recover fr fever, i was stuck wif fever for 1 nite. It has been donkeys years since i last had fever.. mayb sch days? i really cant rmbr wen i last had fever. But definitely tis is not a simple fever.. as it spread fr WL to me, and then to JE!

JE was down wif fever last fri. Again we had difficulties in feeding her drink panadol. And she is forever rejecting to drink plain water! Sat mrng took JE n WL down to ICA to collect WL's passport. Yet, WL can finally travel out of Sgp! JE had a bad time at ICA, crying loudly for half an hr. It was super crowded n everyone was looking at me & the non-stop crying JE till she finally doze off...

JE din slp well n woke up wen v at bugis. Wasnt able to do much shopping as she was awake n cranky. After heading home, JE was again crying at hm. After coaxing her for a few hrs, we surrender & hb sent her to his mum's hse. Upon stepping out of the door, she stopped crying. She din cried all the way till inlaw's hse. At ard 9+, I tog she has calmed down, so brought her home. She cried again..all the way till 12mid nite.

Sun she woke up fine. Everything was fine.. till evening time.. alamak.. she cried again for hours.. I gave up n brought her to c a doctor. She has rashes on her legs & some on her arms. Doc diagnosed as rashes virus, and her cries was due to her itchy rashes. As a baby, she doesnt noe how to stratch, so she cry when itchy. Logical explaination, i shd have put some powder on her legs! I felt so stupid as not spotting the uncomfortableness in JE! Tt sun nite, lucky she was able to fall into slp easily.

Mon & tue was fine.
Ytd- Wed was hell!

She reaches home at ard 9pm. As she was still in pram, so hb n i quickly bathe so tt once she woke up, i can feed her milk n let her slp again. Who know after she woke up at 9.30, she couldnt slp back after her milk feeding! She began wif cranky & it turned into a fierce cry.. on-going till 1am. No matter how i carry her, rock her, push her in pram ard, she cry all the way. I did apply 2x cream + powder on her body.. N my last resolution was to feed her wif a bit of panadol to make her drowsy.

I'm not sure if taking panadol wen not having fever, will cause any effect on the body? But i really cant stand it. I screamed at hb! I screamed at JE! All doesnt helped. It was very late until we had no1 to turn to for help. Disaster! i even feel like slapped or hit her until she is unconsious! But i know i cant do tt! She's my baby, she's a human! She muz be feeling miserable too to cry tt loud.

Feel like seeking help from a doctor, psychologist or anyone professional to help n advise me? This is not a 1 time issue.. n has been on-going for 3mths already!

WL down wif fever!

Last nite, MIL reported tt WL has poor appetite during dinner & was slightly hotter den usual. So MIL fed him some fever medic at 6pm. Wen he returned home, his temperature has subsided. So i tog he has recovered, I din feed him any medic. At ard 2am, b4 hb went to bed, he touched WL n he was so HOT!!! Measured 38.8 & 39 deg.C in his ears! We woke him up to drink fever medicine, paste a cooling pad on his forehead, n let him return to slp.

Out of sudden he had fever. No other symptoms like flu or cough. And his temperature was so high at 2am. I try sponge him but he doesn't like the cold towel. He woke up tis morning wif ard 37 deg.C. As MIL say she could cope wif handling the 2 kids, hb & me went back to work. I having super busy workload at office. Auditors r hurrying us & my deadlines r tight. I cant really afford to take leave... Still, i'm glad MIL can manage. Thanks, Mom!

New Replacement to cheer me up!

2 days after i lose my T&Co bracelet, dearest hb bought me another bracelet. Nope.. not T&Co, juz an ordinary silver bracelet. He claimed it costs 1/12 of the T&Co bracelet price, so ard $30+. Still, i felt both guilty & touched. I knew he bought it juz to cheer me up. But looking at it, I felt so guilty for being so careless...

Well, a lot of ple has been consoling me that it's juz material lost. No1 is hurt or harm in this incident. Yeah, i agree. A colleague of hb also claim it's a minimal lost as compared to her losing her hb to cancer. So i guessed i felt better. At least hb is no longer as angried as before. So I should let it go..

Worst Day, Jinx Day, Unlucky Day.. 09-01-2010

I cant believe myself... how can i be so extremely careless, so useless of me....

I barely wore the bracelet for 3times only, and it's gone now.. gone forever!!!!!! Hb finally bought me a TIFFANY jewellery, and it's juz gone like this... I havent even show off enuff n it disappear. Went to yishun post office, follow by a shopping trip to orchard taka. Somewhere on the path along orchard rd, my bracelet fell off my hand once. I wore it back, i tried secure tighter, but it doesnt help. As i was carrying my bb ger, i juz wear it as per normal.

We took a short break at coffee club at taka. Hb took some pic of us, and i was still wearing tt bracelet. I juz spot the missing bracelet ard 5mins upon reaching home. There seem to be a tussle at the mrt ride, where i struggle to feed JE wif WL's leg resting on me. I muz have drop it there! I wonder will any1 ever pick it up n return to the smrt control station? It's seem like a normal S/S bracelet.. but to me, it costs so much & so precious! After 5yrs of waiting, i only manage to get this tiffany bracelet.

Please, any1 who is holding onto the bracelet, please kindly return to me...

The day is not over! Another shock came in right after i notice my missing bracelet. I lose my ger's anklet! A precious n ex gift fr her grandpa (XR: pls don tell any1 abt this yet). The pic at the coffee club already shown her missing anklet. I was hoping n praying tt it is lost at home, but i cant find it anywhere in our room, our beds, our sofa, etc. Oh my.. juz 1 day only, i can lose 2 items... total ard SGD700+!!!! I cried very badly tt sat nite... i don noe how to face my hb & my dad. I even had a dream tt i found both jewelleries on JE's romper, but it juz a dream... an unrealistic dream.

JE had a hard time trying to slp tt evening when we returned home. I had to cruddle her to slp for 2 hrs. Following by WL vomit all over the floor after his dinner. I am already very miserable, n yet more things r up against me.

I will always rmbr 09-01-2010!

1) May my kids & family be more healthier in the years ahead!
2) Slim down to 50+ kg!
3) More hardworking me @ work, home & everything i do!
4) Have a better husband who loves n dores my family more than any other thing.
5) Maintain a healthier body by eating more healthier food & exercising more.
6) Cook more for my family, esp. the weekends.
7) Play less Facebook games. (wahaha)
8) More Salary increment or change of a better-paid & good environment job!
9) Save more money (for rainy day) & less over-spending.
10) Win more lottery (lol~)
11) Travel to more countries that i nvr visited before.

This is the 2nd yr that i can re-called receiving Xmas gifts from Hb. Last yr, hb gave me a SK white gold pendant.

This yr, he finally fulfilled my long-time wish of owning 1 Tiffany & Co jewellery! I rmbr i used to request for T&Co wedding band, if not, i wont marry him... But times really flies.. n after 5long yrs of waiting... i finally got it! Well, not a wedding ring, but a silver bracelet!

I have been threatening him.. if he still don give me a tiffany jewellery, i'm gng to give Jia'En a christian name: Tiffany. Lol~ So mayb tt is 1 of the reason he's finally giving me 1, before i do some reckless action. Wahaha~

As for his xmas gift, well, i spent $200 on his clothings at the recent Isetan Prviate Sales.. gave him 3ties, 1 tie pin, 3 long-sleeve shirts. Things that he needed to mit other girls at work!

Taking abt his female colleagues.. hai.. really upset me alot. Let's hope hb will improve better in 2010...

No Xmas gifts for the kids.. haha.. have been buying toys as n when already. So there isnt any need for me to pamper them somemore during tis festive. Lol~

Infant Vaccination
JE went for her 1st jab of 6-in-1 at Yishun polyclinic on mon, 21/12/09. Was advised by nurse tt she is able to take pnenococcal jab too. So i agreed to her taking 2jabs on the very same day. Her 1st jab was 6-in-1 at her right thigh. She din cry or make a single sound upon the 1st jab. As brave as her kor kor. But the 2nd jab, pnenococcal onto her left thigh, she cried very badly after the jab. Perhaps she wasnt prepared she gonna suffer a 2nd jab again bah. Consider quite poor thing that she has to endure so much jabs at such a young age. But it's impt for her now as she suffer a few min of pain, compare to days, mths of pain if she kena those viruses. Also, these jabs are very expensive.. paid ard $400+ at the polyclinic for the jab. My heart pain the most!!!

Handphone
I declare my phones r hopeless. 1stly, i was using SE w900 and it was faulty. So i change to SE X1 when hb bought samsung ominaII. End up, the X1 battery is gtg faulty too. After a full charge, the battery can only last half a day if the phone is in used. When it go flat, i totally cant sms or make a call.
Which means, i badly nid a new phone now! Iphone is gtg pretty popular now, esp when the 3 telecoms r having price war. Almost gtg an iphone last sat, but my hb spoilt the opportunity, n make me lose my 30% discount. So now i only can pin n hope for at least a 20% disc... if nt, a 10% disc is still better den nothing. Hopefully i be able to get my new phone b4 the 2 old phone died completely.

All i want for Xmas is... I-PHONE!!!

Std Char Sgp Marathon 2009

We just completed our run last sun at the SCSM 2009. Everything went on great!

I did my one & only 10km run this yr. After deliver in 2mths ago, i was up running a long distance. With ard 1mth of minor exercise, i dare to challenge the 10km distance. I should deserve a pat right? Anyway, i din perform well tt day. I had the worst timing so far.. 1hr 29m XXs. haha.. i only know tt during my last km, i was staring at my watch. I juz wan to reach back within 1.5hr.. so i dash to the finish pt at the last min. lol~ So overall, 7min slower den 2yrs ago timing. But given my last of slp & delivery, i'm consider quite gd already.. (consoling myself. lol~)

The weather was quite sunny wen the kids dash started. WL's catergory was the last one, which start at 11.30am. Lucky i had my bro, ZJ ard, where he can help chase after WL if i run out of breath. End up, WL din even feel like running due to the heat! He felt slpy n thirsty... n upon seeing other mummies carrying their kids, WL insist on me carrying him to walk his race. So i carry him half of his journey. Hai~ Some of the kids participants r very young.. there r even babies who sat in their pram n push fr start to end. Maybe they still don noe how to walk stable & yet these parents still sign their kids to 'run'? Once JE is stable, i probably will sign her up in nxt yr or 2yrs later.

After the kids dash, we headed to the air-conditional raffles city to have our lunch & waited for hb. There was a mini playground in the restaurant & WL went hyperactive.. Juz nw kids dash he wan slp.. nw air-con area, he run ard.. mischevious boy!

Hb only make it back from his marathon run at ard 1pm. He ran a total of 7hrs+ juz to get a finisher tee & sun-burnt skin! So not so bad for a nvr-train plus maiden marathon runner.

Both me n hb suffer muscle pain for 2days.. but most likely we will join again nxt yr!

What's happening to Jia En???

For 2 consecutive sundays, JE has been behaving strangely on sunday nites after her outdoor trips. Last last sunday, we brought her out to orchard area for lunch & shopping. Left hse at 11am and came home ard 6pm. She was extremely cranky & cried out loudly for ard 15mins at ard 9pm. She cried so badly tt her crying exhausted her to slp immediately.

Ytd, I brought her to my mum's hse, den left her hse at 2.30pm to bugis & reach home at 8pm. She went crying loudly & non-stop from 10pm & lasted ard 20 to 30min. I was so worried tt i pull out all the guan yin tailmens & play the "Au mi tuo fo" music for her to calm down. No matter how i carry, how i pat her, how i rub her ears, tummy, head.. it don calm her down.. it was only till she cried enough den fell asleep by herself.

We told her that we are coming home, reassure her that she has reached home safely. But all doesnt seems to work on her. She didn't had a fall or cried loudly during the 2 outdoor trips. Only when she reached home, after a few hrs, den she start to burst out in tears.

MIL say we brought her home so late. But last sunday we came home even before sun set! So not logical. If based on we bring her out shopping for too long, also doesn't affect her as she was asleep most of the time we are outside. In fact, she slept longer & better than if she slps at home.

So what is affecting her? She havent even fall asleep & she cried like she woke up from some scary nightmare. It affecting me alot, and i don't really dare to bring her out anymore. I'm grounding her at home today, so she can rest more, hopefully.

19-11-09 marks JE's 2mth old. We not celebrating anyting at 2mths coz normally our customs only celebrate 1mth or 1 yr old. So nothing special took place ytd.

But for me, i've returned to work on Wednesday. I was okay wif the early morning wake up, but juz tt when i start working, my brain seems to be freeze! Some routine jobs, i took longer than usual to complete. Maybe i 'over-rest' my brain during the maternity leave, or the brain is still stuck at hm. Haha.. Anyway, i'm working only on alternative days now till end Dec. So i can get to rest & work 50%. So by Jan, i be prepared and ready to fight the battle wif the auditors! Wahaha~~~

1 surprising thing that i'm proud to announce here is that i have finally reach my pre-2nd pregnancy weight. Although i had a buffet lunch last sun, it doesnt seem to have any weight on my body. So i nid another 10kg to go. Jia You bah! In fact, my colleagues all claimed i have lose weight. My face has become sharper. Even my facial beauticial also claimed i'm slimmer now. But i still have a big tummy.. wonders when will it go down...

My weight has return, yet tummy is bigger den before.. = other part of my body has slim down.. strange ar?? perhaps my boobs has gone smaller in size. Haha~

Body Damage or Pocket Hole damage?

Since my 2nd pregnancy, gynae told me i had very weak stomach muscle. It was so weak that my tummy can go out-of-shape when i lie flat on my back or sideway. Gynae couldn't measure my baby weight when i was 8-9th mth pregnant, due to the weak muscles. Now that i delivered, my tummy look so terrible & saggy! Bottom half of my tummy lump inwards while bottom top lump outwards when i stand up.

Gynae advises me to do crunches but i have hurt my back during pregnancy until now. So i cant do much sit-up anymore. And as articles mentioned that if i don go back into shape within 6mths of delivery, it will be harder & difficult to achieve my ideal shape.

So to achieve and get back a better shape of me, i signed up a slimming package that make me broke by more than $1.7k (super ex!)! I do hope it works on me! At the same time, i must keep a strict diet to work hand in hand with the treatments. Also not forgetting my exercise, which i need to start real soon. My 10km run is 1mth away from now...

My target:
Tummy gone, firmer skin ard my tummy;
Slimmer thigh
Smaller butt
Firmer arm

Hope i can achieve & not waste my money!

PC- gone case!

My home PC has break down. I have no idea what happen, only know hb has been installing so many programs n editing so many bikinis/lingerie models pictures until the PC keep re-starting! Hb said the PC has lasted for 4yrs already, so it is quite reasonable for the PC to break down. But timing is wrong now! Especially when we are so broke. Hb only manage to get partial pay since he only started work in early Oct. For me, it even worse as i have been over-spending!

Hb checked that a new PC will costs more than $1k now. The motherboard & harddisk alone costs over $1k! Where can i dig money gold from??

We may have other computers, like this small netbook that i'm using now. But it operates very slow when we use many programs together. Another PC that is more than 6yrs old, and lags even worst! I basically do not urgently need a good computer as i only surf the net, play facebook, chat on msn, and use basic excel & word programs. Only hb needs a PC very urgently to edit his photographs. So let c when hb gng to prompt me for cash to get a new PC, or he asks his friends' help on repairing the spoilt PC.

Boring Days

2 more weeks to end my 1st part of maternity leave. I have so many things to do, yet i'm unsure when i can begin doing those things.

I want to start my exercise, have ard 15kg of weight to lose! I'm only 2kg away from my 2nd pre-pregnancy weight, but hb wanted me to slim down to 1st pre-pregnancy weight! When can i start my swimming, aerobics, kick-boxing, running & sit up exercises???

I have 3 more spas sessions which i wan to utilise finish. Can i start to go for normal spas now?

Facial.. my face is ok.. but i still got some un-utilised facial sessions, only thing is i nid to travel all the way to town for facial. A bit lazy!

Slimming session. I previously bought 1 slimming session at a promo rate during my pregnancy. I wonder can i use the session now (as in my uterus is back in shape to start massaging)?

So much things on my iteniary, yet unsure if i can start doing now? Anyone can advise me???

Jia En's "Release"

Ever since JE reaches full mth old, she has been travelling out of the hse often. On her full mth day, she went to her Ah Ma's hse to pray to ancestors. The nxt day (sunday), she went to her Wai Po's hse to pray to my family ancestors. Follow by a short trip to HuaXia Taimaobi for a botak hair cut. Hb say her hair is too little as compared to WL, so he insisted on shaving all her hair at 1 mth old, so her hair can re-grow more beautifully as she grows up.

Last sat, hb dragged me out to catch 2 movies, so JE & WL were sent to mil's hse. It's her 1st time sleeping at her Ah Ma's hse.

Sunday, my mum suggested to go return our blessings to Guan Yin at Kwan Im Tong Hood Che Temple. I have previously ask for blessings on a safety delivery of Jia En & myself. Also, i had pray for a better job opportunity for my hb. Now that JE is born, Hb had found a new job & started the job, it is time to return my thanks to Guan Yin. Since hb went out to take photographs, i took both WL & JE out by myself. Quite a difficult tasks as i almost spend 3hrs juz to get ready! After praying, we went shopping at OG while waiting for hb to join us. I'm so happy that i bought a new bag! A bag that can works as a diapers bag, gym bag, sch bag, all in 1!!

Yesterday (monday), i took her out for lunch & grocery shopping. JE can be very noisy when she's hungry. She make so much noise that i have to cut-short my shopping & rush home to prepare milk for her. =(

Today! I brought her for her Hep B-2nd dose at yishun polyclinic all by myself! Since in the past, i can easily handle WL by myself, i din request for my mil's help. Everything was smooth until it started to rain when i reached Yishun! Stupid weather! Anyway, JE had a short cry when injected, and calms down very fast. Booked her next appointment & also helped her bro, WL to book appointment for Chickenpox next monday. Let's c how long her bro will cry, especially he's older now. I had a quick lunch & I cant do much shopping wif a baby pram by myself. So we went home so that JE can have a better slp at home.

19-09-09 to 16-10-09

Ever since i delivered JE, WL was taken care by my mil so that i can fully concentrate on recovering & taking full care of the newborn bb. WL stayed overnite at mil's hse on wkdays & returned on wkends to camp at our hse. He adores his newborn sister, always requesting to come home and sayang her mei mei. However, when he done wif the sayang part, off he goes to make loud noise and disturb his mei mei's beauty sleep. Only when WL is asleep, then JE gets her peaceful sleep...

Before i delivered, i have specially prepared a gift exchange for my 2 kids. On WL's first trip back home with JE, i took out the gifts. WL was given 2 transformer toys while JE received a carebear toy. This makes WL happy and to make him feel that he's still being loved by us after a new family member arrived.

My confinement ends on 16 Oct, so WL has shifted back to our hse. Both hb n i have been trying to cope wif handling the 2 kids. Basically, hb is in charge of WL, as he's bigger and easier to handle. The small & fragile baby is handled by me, 24hrs a day!

Jia En is finally 1 mth old! We held a full mth party at our hse, inviting relatives & close friends to see our lovely princess.

My Labour Story

Sharing my labour of my newborn bb princess on 19-09-09:

I checked into TMC after i was spotting at 11am. In the morning before i admit, WL was singing "happy birthday" song to her unborn mei mei and sayang my tummy while singing. Is this a sign of telling me her mei mei is to be born soon?

At 12.30nn, i was 3cm dilated. Waited at the labour ward for gynae to break my water bag at 3pm. Contraction was irregular & non-intense. Didnt feel any pain.. until 4.30pm, i felt my back in pain whenever contraction began. I was only 4cm dilated.. for almost 2hrs, i only dilated a miserable 1cm!

So i gave in to epidural again. Quickly signed the forms & screamed for the epi! By the time the doctor came, i felt a strong urge to push! OMG, i cant cancel the epi process as the doc is already in the rm. I was screaming in deep pain when the epi was inject into my back.. not becoz the injection was painful, but becoz the pushing urge is so STRONG & PAINFUL! Even after epi was inside my body, the urge to push still present. The nurses don't allow me to push as gynae wasnt ard yet. Neither was the bb head low enough for me to push.. i nid to dilate another 1-2cm.. Sometimes, i secretly push even though i wasnt allow. It's so difficult to control the pushing when the urge is so strong. I'm glad i had the epi, if not i nid control both the urge & the contraction pain, which i tink i will scream down the whole hospital!

An hr passed & gynae came. Hurray, i can finally push! Had a few push & bb gal was popped into this world! I was very tired.. and somehow regretted that i didnt had my epi injected earlier, so i don nid to suffer such a long labour.

Baby is born on 19-09-09. Although i hoped for the nxt day: 20-09-2009, an easier to rmbr date & also it falls on my chinese birthdate. Too bad, baby popped 1 day earlier. Starting fr nxt yr, she can celebrate her birthday with her aunt, whose birthday falls on 18 Sep.

Ple always tell me if i walk a lot, i will have a short & smooth labour.. or 2nd labour will b shorter. Well, all don't prove to be correct for my case. I had a slightly longer labour then my 1st delivery.

The after-effect pains are much better. Perhaps i'm more experienced liao. I dare not eat b4 my delivery, except drank a cup of milo. So all i vomit is milo after the delivery. My stitches wasnt painful, & i can get out of bed & walk ard easily w/o any pain on the nxt day. My boobs engorgement wasnt as painful & hurtful as my 1st delivery.

Oh Yes! I'm starting a new blog since i now got a new baby! And as she is a girl, i shouldnt be using the words "Ah-boy" as my web-address. So i'm now gng to combine both my personal blog & my kids blog into 1 blog, known as "muzBhappy"!

Being stuck wif 1 hb, 2 kids, 1 job, 1 hse(work), i'm gng to be extremely busy... nevertheless, i muz still learn to be a HAPPY gal... n enjoy my time as i'm gtg older. Recently, i spotted a few strands of white hair amongst my black hair.. so ugly & scary.. Either i'm too stress, or i'm old liao. Therefore, i muz b HAPPY to prevent more white hair from popping.. haha~
